Ravi Chopra embarks on new animation film

MUMBAI: Producer director Ravi Chopra, who was to make an animation film called Lord Krishna, has shelved plans of the same. However, Chopra has now embarked on a new animation film titled Hum Paanch, based on the childhood of the Pandavas.


The budget of Hum Paanch will be approximately Rs 125 million (Rs 12.5 crores) and animation studio Pix N Prix has been assigned to work on the animation.


Confirming the same to Businessofcinema.com Chopra said, “We are doing Hum Paanch. Animation was a natural call for our business as it is one area of filmmaking that we haven’t ventured into. We make software for television, ads and movies but this is the first time that we will be doing an animation feature film.”


The film is at present in the character development and building stage. Hum Paanch will feature the voices of mainly kids and a few actors.
