MUMBAI: Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (R-ADAG) is planning to foray into celebrity talent management and will be launching a company called BIG One for the same. ‘Ticket to Fame’ is likely to be the tag line of the company.
According to sources, the new company is slated to launch by the end of this month. BIG One will be a part of Reliance Entertainment, which already houses companies like BIG FM, BIG Motion Pictures, BIG Adda, BIG Flicks and BIG Music and Home Entertainment.
Sources inform Businessofcinema.com that at least 10 people have been signed on under BIG One. The company will handle the talent’s work, stage shows, events, performances, endorsements etc. RJ and TV host Siddharth Kannan and singer Shaan are among the first few that have been signed on by BIG One as talent.
Last year, Percept Holdings along with Lachlan Murdoch’s Illyria Pty Ltd launched Percept Talent Management (PTM), with an aim at promoting talent across all forms of media. This 50:50 joint venture between Percept Holdings and Murdoch represents talent in the fields of motion pictures, fashion, television, music, sports and branded entertainment. Some of the celebrity endorsements that PTM has done in the past are Kareena Kapoor (Citizen), Priyanka Chopra (Tag Heur), Madhur Bhandarkar, Karan Johar (Alfred Dunhill), Shah Rukh Khan and Sachin Tendulkar (Airtel) amongst others.
