MUMBAI: Following the footsteps of A R Rahman, sound technician Resul Pookutty will be joining as a voting member of the Academy of Motion Pictures. Pookutty who earlier won an Oscar for his work in Slumdog Millionaire has now been invited to be a voting member of the Academy of Motion Pictures.
He is one among the 134 artists who have received an invitation to join the Oscar ballot. Some of the other names who are part of this group include Hollywood actors Jack Nicholson, Quentin Tarantino, Will Smith and Indian celebrities like A.R.Rahman and Mira Nair.
Pookutty will be among the other 6000 members of the Academy, to choose the Oscar winners.
