[tps_header]Second trailer of Shahid Kapoor starrer R… Rajkumar was released last week. After seeing this trailer, one could easily see a lot of similarities of what antics Shahid Kapoor did in Phata Poster Nikhla Hero.

R… Rajkumar is directed by Prabhu Deva, and also features Sonakshi Sinha and Sonu Sood along with Shahid Kapoor. Everything about this trailer looks like they are trying desperately to ‘ENTERTAIN’.
Rajkumar (Shahid Kapoor) madly falls in love with Chanda (Sonakshi Sinha), who initially resists Rajkumar, but eventually falls in love. The film is set in an area that is ruled by goons and murderers. Shivraj (Sonu Sood) comes in between the two lovers, and as usual in the end love will conquer.
The dialogues in the trailer takes us back to the flavor of Dabangg, something that only and only Salman Khan can carry off well. Both, Rajkumar and Chanda are trying to outdo each other, where Chanda comments on his height, and Rajkumar on her weight.
Oops! Now, this one really hurts!
The action and dance sequences are quite mundane, nothing new. One can clearly see that Shahid is trying hard to be the ‘new action hero’, and he also enters into fight with Shivraj. The thing is, this entire setting does not look palatable. The visuals of Shahid beating up Sonu Sood are bit far fetched, and difficult to digest.
What is amusing is the way the trailer ends. They are desperately trying to keep the character name of Shahid Kapoor in the film under wraps. What difference does it make if we know his name or does not know?
All said and done, I hope that the makers have taken care, and the story too will not be under wraps when we see the film finally.
R… Rajkumar is set to release on December 6, 2013.
