Road, Movie to premiere at the Tokyo International Film Festival 


MUMBAI: Following the world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival, Indian Films’ Road, Movie is now headed to its Asian premiere at the Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) in Roppongi Hills on 21 October.

Dev Benegal’s Road, Movie will compete for the Tokyo Sakura Grand Prix and is the only Indian film to make the competition line-up in Tokyo . The film stars Abhay Deol, actor/director Satish Kaushik and Tannishta Chatterjee.

Road, Movie is about Vishnu, a restless young man who rejects his father’s hair-oil business and hits the road with a travelling cinema.

The film is produced by producers Ross Katz and Susan B. Landau.

Road, Movie is being sold internationally by Fortissimo Film Sales, its first Hindi language title.
