Robert Downey Jr. To Play ‘Iron Man’ In ‘Avengers’ Sequels

There might not be a fourth part to the Iron Man series but Robert Downey will be seen playing Iron Man in the Avenger Sequels. The actor has been signed by Marvel Studios for Avengers 2 and Avengers 3

For Fans who were eager to watch Robert Downey Jr. in ‘Iron Man 4’, their hopes have been shattered. It’s confirmed that the actor has ended his contract with Marvel Studios, the producers of the Iron Man series. 

But, while the fans will not get to see him in a stand-alone film, Robert Downey Jr. will be seen reprising his ‘Iron Man’ avatar in the action series ‘Avengers’ sequels.

The sequels are also produced by Marvel Studios. Both ‘Iron Man 3’ and ‘Avengers’ have been the highest grossing Hollywood blockbusters so far in 2013 and 2012 respectively.

While Marvel Studios possibly suggest that there is no fourth part to the ‘Iron Man’ series, as Robert Downey Jr. is slated to end his commitment to the studios post the ‘Avenger’ sequels, playing his character of ‘Iron Man’.

‘Avengers’ also alongside ‘Iron Man’ had, The Hulk, Captain America, Thor and the Black Widow. These four characters are set to return to the sequel as well.

The sequel will also have new set of action comic characters from Marvel comics, never seen before on the big screen, says a statement on the Marvel website.

But everything said, it just cannot get better with Robert Downey Jr. as ‘Iron Man’ setting the screen on fire again.
