Aum’s Aushim Khetarpal says, “The film will be made on a budget at Rs 150 million (Rs 15 crore). It is a bi-lingual venture in Hindi and English. Plans are afoot to have Tamil and Telugu versions of the film too. Meanwhile, we are hunting new talent to play the young and teenaged ‘Krishna’ from Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Delhi. The entry to this contest is available on Airtel through SMS, Blazeflash couriers and 500 Kidzee stores all over India. The final selection contest will be held at Vrindavan after two months.”
The film will be shot next year in a shooting spell of 75 days. The Hindi version will be directed by Khetarpal, while the director for the English version is being finalised. “We are planning to have three series of films on Krishna. Talks are on for international funding and distribution arrangements for the film,” informs Khetarpal.
