Salman Khan, Not Too ‘Kicked’ With Chetan Bhagat’s Screen Writing?

Best-selling author Chetan Bhagat is screen writing for Salman Khan ’s next project - Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick’. But, looks like the 'Tiger' Khan is not too happy with Bhagat's simplistic penning.

MUMBAI: Bollywood’s ‘Dabangg’ Salman Khan has, according to buzz, asked one of  India’s most commercially successful author to re-work his script.

Best-selling author Chetan Bhagat is screen writing for Salman Khan’s next project – Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick’. But, looks like the ‘Tiger’ Khan is not too happy with Bhagat’s simplistic penning.

Reveals a source, “After putting together the first draft of the script, Chetan went to meet Salman along with Sajid. The whole idea was to appraise Salman about the progress on the script. Salman read it as both Chetan and Sajid sat before him anxiously. After a while, Salman kept the script aside and told Chetan very politely, that he has failed to capture the essence of the film which is being adapted from a Telugu hit. ‘Make it more commercial’ is what the best-selling author was told. Sajid and Chetan had no choice but nod in approval.”

While rumours suggest that Chetan has not taken any offence with the actor’s demand, the author has completely denied even meeting Salman as reported.

Says Bhagat, “I haven’t even met Salman at all on ‘Kick! The script is not done yet. I am working with only Sajid Nadiadwala and his team on the script.

Well,  either way, we’re sure the author wouldn’t mind. After all, it is not everyday one gets to write for Salman Khan. When Bhagat had taken up the challenge he had been found quoting, “It is an honour and I am anxious as well…It is Salman Khan, it is as big as it gets.”
