MUMBAI: Yash Raj Films’ romantic thriller, Ek Tha Tiger, which was scheduled for release on 1 June, 2012, will now release worldwide on Eid 2012.

Since Aamir Khan wanted to release his next film, directed by Reema Kagti, on 1 June, he requested Salman Khan and Aditya Chopra to shift Ek Tha Tiger to accommodate this release. Given the close relationship between them, both Chopra and Khan were happy to oblige and shift the release to Eid.

It may be recalled that since the last three years, Salman has had a release every Eid namely with Wanted, Dabangg and Ready, all of which have been successful at the box office.

Directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra, Ek Tha Tiger stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.

The film is based on a story by Aditya Chopra and the screenplay and dialogues have been written by Kabir Khan and Neelesh Misra. Aseem Mishra, who has worked with Kabir on New York, is the DOP. The music will be scored by Suhail Sen.

The film is currently shooting in Dublin from where it moves on to Turkey for its next schedule.
