MUMBAI: Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol starrer, Yamla Pagla Deewana that released last Friday took a good opening and has been faring well so far, at the box office.
The film is directed by Samir Karnik. The success of Yamla Pagla Deewana was much needed not only for Karnik but also for the three Deols. Now there is a buzz doing the rounds that the Deols along with Karnik are planning a sequel to Yamla Pagla Deewana.
However, speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Karnik says that he has not thought of doing any sequel right now. He says, “Yamla Pagla Deewana has just released and I am enjoying its success at the moment and only concentrating on it, I have not thought of doing any sequel so far.”
On further being questioned about Sunny speaking to the media and confirming the sequel, Karnik says, “I am not aware of it. We haven’t spoken of doing any sequel at the moment.”
Yamla Pagla Deewana saw Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby on screen together again after Apne and is the story of a man in Canada, who sets out on a journey to look for his lost father and brother in India.
