MUMBAI: ‘Student Of The Year’ launched three newcomers Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. It was a dream debut for these young lads to feature in a film directed by Karan Johar.
But it is Varun Dhawan who seems to have grabbed the most of working with Karan Johar. He seems to have impressed Karan Johar so much, that the director has signed Varun Dhawan for his next film.
“Varun is doing a film with us. The script has been finalized and it is an exciting, fun film,” said Karan Johar.
The director also plans to launch a new female lead and a new director for this project.
On being asked why he chose to cast Varun Dhawan and not Siddharth Malhotra, Karan Johar said, “All 3 are part of the Dharma family and are bound to us. I keep advising and nurturing them.”
Siddharth Malhotra has bagged a role alongside Parineeti Chopra in Dharma Production’s ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ and Alia Bhatt has bagged a role alongside Arjun Kapoor in ‘2 States’.
Varun Dhawan, good going we say. This is what we call passing with flying colours.
