Shah’s London Dreams wraps up shoot; looks for buyers

MUMBAI: Producer – director Vipul Shah made headlines when his film, London Dreams was sold to Indian Films (Studio 18) for Rs 1.20 billion (Rs 120 crores). However, as was first reported by Businessofcinema.com in November last year, the two concerned parties mutually decided to re-evaluate the deal once the movie’s shoot was complete.

The shooting for the film has now been wrapped. “We have completed the shooting for London Dreams. It was completed in two big schedules and as earlier announced, the release date for the film is 14 August,” Shah told Businessofcinema.com.

On being queried whether a distribution deal had been inked, Shah informed, “We will evaluate all the offers from 1 April, after the start of the new financial year.”

London Dreams stars Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan in key roles. The female lead is being played by Asin. Asin said, “I have had a dream run in Bollywood. My first film with Aamir and my next release is with Salman. After the Filmfare Award, I am just so excited about my roles and I promise to do a great job.”

London Dreams had its first schedule in London, in August last year. Some portions with Salman were also filmed in Paris. Post the 40 day schedule, Shah shot in Punjab in January. The film is about the musical journey of an aspiring Punjabi boy who makes it to the underground music scene in London.
