MUMBAI: Singer-cum-music director Shankar Mahadevan has teamed up with ad man, lyricist and script writer Prasoon Joshi to judge NDTV Imagine’s musical show, Dhoom Macha De. These jury members along with the votes of the entire nation will adjudge the winner in this competition to uncover the country’s Best LIVE Performer.
Mahadevan said, “I’m really excited about being associated with a show that has got such talented performers competing with each other on a common platform. On Dhoom Macha De, we are not looking for singing talent … we already have it in abundance. This is a show to judge the participant’s overall ‘live’ performance. Its a tough task for us as judges, but you can be rest assured that this show will have a lot of action and energetic performances from the country’s popular artists.”
Joshi added, “Dhoom Macha De is a unique concept. Never before have talented & established singers participated in a musical reality show. As a judge, I will be looking for the ‘wow’ factor… something that appeals to the heart and mind. All I can say right now is…watch out for this show… it’s going to have some unforgettable moments.”
