Mumbai: Delhi & NCR chief minister Sheila Dikshit inaugurated the WorldKids International Film Festival sponsored by Kotak Mahindra Bank.
The festival aims to introduce value based entertainment that promotes learning and inculcates a positive influence on young minds through cinema, by showcasing some of the best national and international children’s films for 8-21 year olds.
WorldKids takes this opportunity to provide a platform for young and talented directors to reach a larger audience at the festival, thus hoping to encourage the film fraternity worldwide into dabbling more in the production of films for children. The festival will also give the young minds an opportunity to voice their opinions and display their inherent talent in film-making and other arts.
Kotak Mahindra Bank retail liabilities and branch banking group head KVS Manian said, "In keeping with our motto to nurture and promote excellence, we have joined hands with the WorldKids Foundation to invest in our upcoming generation."
"At Kotak Mahindra Bank, we promote a culture of identifying opportunities that make a difference to our employees, shareholders and most importantly our customers. The similarity of purpose is what brought us together with WorldKids to present this beautiful opportunity to our children," he further added.
