MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment will be releasing the sequel of Bheja Fry in the overseas territories.
Bheja Fry 2 is produced by Mukul Deora and directed by Sagar Ballary, who also directed the first movie.
After the success of the first film, Bheja Fry 2 is expected to bring back the hilarious style of the original idiot – Vinay Pathak.
The movie also stars Minissha Lamba, Amole Gupte, Kay Kay Menon, Suresh Menon, M.T. Shekharan, Rahul Vohra, Aditi Govitrikar, Rahul Singh, Virendra Saxena.
Shemaroo Entertainment plans to release the movie on 17 June across different theatres worldwide excluding India, Bhutan and Sikkim. The company owns all commercial and non-commercial rights of exhibition, distribution and exploitation except the earlier mentioned territories.
Shemaroo Entertainment director Hiren Gada said, "Bheja Fry was very well received by the audience worldwide. In fact, people are waiting for the sequel to catch the desi spunk on the foreign land. We are sure that Bheja Fry 2 will do even better than its first movie. Other than traditional medium, we are also planning to monetize the movie on newer and emerging platforms like IPTV, mobile and internet in long term.”
