Shemaroo screens nine films at the Global Cinema Festival

MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment  will be screening nine films at the Global Cinema Festival (GCFEST), of which eight are Shemaroo World Cinema titles and one is an Animation film.

GCFEST is a weeklong feast of films organised by Film Federation of India in collaboration with the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Global Cinema Festival is organized at Indore from 9 October -15 October 2009. This festival will be inaugurated on 8 October,2009 by the Cultural Minister of Madhya Pradesh Laxmikant Sharma and actress Priyanka Chopra.

Shemaroo Entertainment Director Hiren Gada shares, ‘It feels great to be part of a festival    jointly organized by Film Federation of India and the State Government of Madhya Pradesh. This festival brings in a nice opportunity for audiences of Indore and Madhya Pradesh to watch this kind of cinema. With nine screenings from Shemaroo’s stable, we are definitely looking forward to this grand festival.’  

All Shemaroo World Cinema titles will be screened at INOX Indore – Central Mall, INOX Leisure Ltd., 4th Floor, Indore Central, 170, R.N.T. Marg, Regal Square, Indore – 452 001.

Shemaroo’s Animation Film, Ghatothkach – Master of Magic, will be screened at INOX Indore – Sapna Sangeeta, INOX Leisure Ltd., Sapna Sangeeta Mall, Sapna Sangeeta Road, Sneha Nagar, Indore – 452 007.

The Shemaroo Films to be screened are: Blessed by Fire(Tristán Bauer), Tess (Roman Polanski), Madadayo (Akira Kurosawa), Song of Sparrows (Majid Majidi), Ran (Akira Kurosawa), Rashomon (Akira Kurosawa), La Zona (Rodrigo Pla), Ghatothkach – Master of Magic [Animation Film] and The Quiet Duel (Akira Kurosawa).
