MUMBAI: Filmistan studios in Mumbai saw a blast-from-the-past while the filming of reality dance TV show ‘Nach Baliye 5’ was on. For the celebrity judge Shilpa Shetty had decided to invite some of the contestants from the previous seasons, on a special episode of ‘Nach Baliye’.
Looking heavily made up, and equally heavily-dressed (did we hear ‘Christmas Tree’, anyone?), Shilpa was seen interacting with all the celebrity couples on sets in a bright blue churidar-kameez suit. Accompanying her on the judges table was an equally over-dressed Terence Lewis (in a white-shirt, blue jeans which he dressed way up with a orange-beige-brown blazer). Sajid Khan kept the atmosphere of over-glam quotient down with his simple pink tee, jeans and brown suede blazer. Thankfully!
Among the ex-contestants, we spotted Bakhtiyaar and Tanaaz Irani, with their young son. The trio looked positively beaming to be back on stage, clad in all-black leather ensembles. Jay Bhanushali and Mahi went diametrically opposite to Tanaaz and Bakhtiyaar in their angelic all-white look. Hiten Tejwani and his wife looked like koli fisherfolk, ready to break into a Marathi lavani jig any moment. Supriya and her husband Sachin also seemed to have channeled the local spirit, in their Marathi manoos getups and dance.
Also present were season 5 contestants like Dimpy Mahajan (again, in a koli fisher woman’s outfit. Was that the theme of the show???) and others. The ex-contestants mingled with the current lot, and, needless to say, a fantastically fun time was had by all!
