MUMBAI: Shirish Kunder’s next directorial venture after Jaane-Mann, titled Joker will go on floors from 12 February.
This will be Kunder’s second movie as director and stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the main leads. Shreyas Talpade has been cast as the second male lead in Joker and will be essaying the role of Akshay’s brother. The female lead opposite Talpade has not yet been decided.
Kunder will be heading to Chandigarh tomorrow for location scouting. Earlier this week, Kunder also went on a location recce in the interiors of Maharashtra for the movie.
Kunder wrote on his Twitter, "Joker is not a Superhero film. At one point it used to be. But what we are making now is a completely new script, with the same title."
The movie is slated to release around Christmas this year and is being produced by Akshay Kumar.
Kunder recently co-produced Tees Maar Khan along with Akshay Kumar’s Hari Om Productions. The movie was directed by Farah Khan and starred Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead.
