MUMBAI: For the sequel of Milan Luthria’s ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’, Sonakshi Sinha has been signed on by Balaji Motion Pictures opposite Akshay Kumar who will be seen as underworld don Shoaib (based on Dawood Ibrahim).
After ‘Joker’ and ‘Rowdy Rathore’ this is the third project that Sinha will be doing with Kumar. In Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2, Sonakshi will feature as Yasmin, an aspiring actress who falls in love with a gangster, and from there her life changes.
The film also stars Imran Khan, who will play Kumar’s rival as Aslam. Slated to go on floors this August, buzz suggests that the film might also create a love triangle between the three lead roles.
