MUMBAI: After a long run at the Indian box office post its release in October, 2010, Sony Pictures India is set to re-release The Social Network on 11 February, 2011 in preparation for the upcoming Academy Awards on 27 February,2011.
The film, which recently won four Golden Globes including the prestigious Best Picture and Best Director awards, has been nominated for eight Academy Awards.
The Social Network is a drama about the founding of the social networking website, Facebook and the resulting lawsuits. The film was directed by David Fincher and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Brenda Song,Armie Hammer, Max Minghella, Rashida Jones, Joseph Mazzello, and Rooney Mara.
The film was released in the United States by Columbia Pictures on 1 October, 2010.
