MUMBAI: Studio 18 senior vice president marketing, distribution and syndication Priti Shahani has put in her papers at the company.
As one of the founding members of Television 18’s movie arm – Studio 18, Shahani was spearheading the marketing, syndication and distribution business for the company.
Shahani is currently serving her notice period and her last day at Studio 18 will be 31 March, 2010.
Besides introducing and overseeing marketing/distribution campaigns for films such as Welcome, Singh is Kinng and Ghajini, Shahani was also instrumental in tapping new revenue streams for films by introducing the syndication model for Jab We Met’s satellite rights.
As of now, Shahani has not zeroed in on her next destination but is exploring various options.
Prior to joining Studio 18 in June 2006, she was with Sahara One Motion Pictures as head of marketing.
She started her career with the hospitality industry as the head of sales in the Taj Group of Hotels and later moved onto Hungama.com as a founder member.
