Sunil Lulla Gets Promoted As President Of The Times Television Network

sunil lulla main coverrrFour years after joining back Times Global Broadcasting Sunil Lulla has now been promoted as President, Corporate Development at BCCL Group.

When Sunil rejoined as Managing Director And CEO, TV Business on December 03, 2009 he was in charge of all three channels of the Times Group – Times Now, ET Now and Zoom Entertainment Network.

Sunil was earlier overseeing the broadcast business of TTN. He has spent more than eight years in various leadership roles at the company. In his new strategic role at BCCL, Sunil will work closely with Vineet Jain, Managing Director, BCCL Group and Satyan Gajwani, Chief Executive Officer, Times Internet, overseeing a number of group initiatives in the areas of sports, music, international events and more.

On the other hand, M.K. Anand, who is an old BCCL hand, will return to the group after his stint of heading the broadcasting ventures of the Disney UTV Group. He will run Times Television Network taking over Sunil Lulla‘s earlier position.

M.K. Anand has worked with The Times Of India Group; first with the print business for fourteen years and later with the television business at Zoom for five years making it a total of nineteen years. Earlier, Anand was Managing Director for Disney UTV Media Networks till December, 2013.

Anand joined UTV Global Broadcasting in the year 2009 as Chief Executive Officer. At that time, UTV Global Broadcasting was operating four channels – Bindass, UTV Action, UTV Movies and UTV World Movies. In February 2012, he was appointed Managing Director of Disney UTV Media Networks post the acquisition of UTV by Disney.

Before joining UTV, he had also worked for BCCL as business head of Zoom, the Bollywood Entertainment Channel of the group. Anand’s appointment is subject to regulatory approvals, as per the press statement issued by the BCCL group.
