MUMBAI: The Telangana strike disrupted the shooting of Balaji Motion Pictures’ upcoming movie The Dirty Picture for two days in Hyderabad.
Members of Parliament from the region in Andhra Pradesh have been exerting pressure on the central government to create a separate state. The region, which has been on a lockdown for two days, resulted in the shoot of the Milan Luthria-directed musical drama getting cancelled at Ramoji Film City on 5 and 6 July. The shooting resumed late night on 6 July.
The movie stars Vidya Balan, Tusshar Kapoor, Emraan Hashmi and Naseeruddin Shah. Hashmi joins the unit next week following the release of his Mohit Suri-directed thriller Murder 2.
The Dirty Picture is slated to release on 10 November, 2011.
