Mumbai: The History Channel will air Bollywood Bosses from 2 May onwards. The show will be aired every Friday at 8 pm till 4 July.
This 10-week series takes a look at the careers of some of the biggest directors who have redefined the Hindi film industry.
This May, film makers such as Rakesh Roshan, Karan Johar, Yash Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Mahesh Bhatt, Subhash Ghai and Vidhu Vinod Chopra will be on Bollywood Bosses. They look back at their lives and share the story of their journey.
Following the success of their earlier initiative Face-Off, that captured some of the greatest moments from India-Australia cricketing encounters, The History Channel is organizing an on-ground quiz challenge titled Bollywood Rap.
Aimed to test the knowledge of the participants around Hindi cinema, these quizzes will be organized in Delhi and Mumbai wherein viewers will compete as two member teams.
The History Channel has also planned an on-air initiative as part of the series. Interstitials featuring exciting trivia on the biggest blockbusters ever made will be aired during the program on the channel.
A poll has also been developed wherein viewers can vote for their favorite actor, actress or villain by sending a SMS ‘BR’ to 57827 or by logging in on www.historychannelindia.com/bollywoodrap .
"Bollywood Bosses is a great example of the kind of entertaining programming that The History Channel offers its viewers", said senior vice president, content & communications Rajesh Sheshadri.
"Bollywood Bosses provides an unprecedented access to not just the directors in profile, but virtually every top star and technician who counts in today’s Bollywood industry," he added.
