After a gap of three months from its teaser trailer, ‘The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 2’ official trailer is finally out. The makers of the film have changed the tone of the trailer completely by choosing to showcase the mellow side of the film. The trailer takes us through an emotional side of the film, showing the bond between lead character Katniss and her sister Prim.
If you’ve watched ‘The Hunger Games’ (2012), then you would know how Katniss volunteered to be a sacrifice in the annual Hunger Games, in order to save her little sister Prim. After winning the first annual game, Katniss along with a group of people decides to overthrow this cruel custom of ‘Hunger Games‘ and start a revolution against it. ‘The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 2’ will see this fight between the people and the system finally take place.

“The things we love the most, are the things that destroy us,” this powerful statement can be heard in the official trailer of the film. The 2nd part of the film will see Katniss Everdeen teaming up with her District 13 friends Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) to summon other fighters for a war against President Snow. It all comes to an end in the final showdown where the 76th ‘Hunger Games‘ will end with a bang to liberate the citizens of Panem. ‘The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 2’ will teach Katniss Everdeen that it is no longer about the survival of the fittest but about everyone’s future.
The film has been directed by Francis Lawrence. Produced by Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik, the screenplay has been penned by Danny Strong and Peter Craig. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Julianne Moore, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci, Donal Sutherland and Willow Shields amongst others.
