MUMBAI: Paramount Pictures’ ‘Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters’ directed by Tommy Wirkola, starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton is an action-adventure fantasy film, bringing a twist to the classic ‘Hansel & Gretel’ tale.
Based on the German fairy tale – Hansel & Gretel recorded by Brothers Grimm, the film takes the story of the brother and sister, who get lured into a gingerbread house owned by a cannibalistic witch, forward.
The children, bewitched by walls made of chocolate, door knobs of cookies and windows panes of candy sticks walk into the witch’s trap. But after successfully outsmarting the blood thirsty witch, Hansel & Gretel become the ultimate vigilantes, hell bent on retribution. The bounty hunters track and slay these evil creatures all over the world.
But as the blood moon approaches, the siblings encounter a greater danger – their past!
If you’re looking for some cocky action, complete with special effects, this is the movie for you. Jeremy and Gemma as Hansel & Gretel , the machine gun wielding siblings look super hot in this vigilante avatar.
