MUMBAI: Eros International released the trailer of their upcoming film, a love story ‘Raanjhnaa’, directed by Aanand L. Rai of the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ (2011) fame.
The film marks the Bollywood debut of Tamil actor Dhanush, opposite Sonam Kapoor, along with a supporting cast of Abhay Deol, Swara Bhaskar, Deepak Dobriyal and Mohammed Zeeshan.
The trailer begins with Dhanush learning a lesson watching one of the most popular love triangle films of Bollywood, ‘Saajan’, and decides to make his childhood love turn to something much more meaningful. He follows all possible means to get noticed by Sonam, he follows her, jumps into her rickshaw, stands outside her house, gets slapped multiple times, but doesn’t let go.
And then enters the third guy, Abhay Deol who is contesting for the CM elections and has lost his heart to Sonam Kapoor as well. Hence, begins the story of never giving up and a race to win the heart of that special girl.
The music by A.R. Rahman is soulful and melodious as ever.
‘Raanjhanaa’ produced by Krishika Lulla is a romantic story based in Benaras and is written by Himanshu Sharma. It features Dhanush, Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Swara Bhaskar, Deepak Dobriyal and Mohammed Zeeshan in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to release on June 21, 2013.
