Mumbai: The DVD of Aamir Khan’s directorial venture Taare Zameen Par will be launched on Friday (25 July) by child actor Darsheel Safary’s school principal within his school premises.
The DVD is priced at Rs 500 and will be available on T-Series.
Since the film is about a teacher and student relation, the school was considered apt for the DVD launch.
Khan was keen to launch Taare Zameen Par’s DVD soon, as it is an important in respect of child education. He has been working from the last six months to make the DVD package special. Various value adds have been included to make the DVD a part of a collector’s item.
The DVD contains bonus features like background score of the movie, hundred photographs from behind the scene, and one-hour show of educators, principals, teachers, and parents talking about various learning disabilities of a child. In addition, it contains deleted scenes with an explanation from Khan on why they do not feature in the film, Khan’s commentary on why he chose this subject and its significance. The DVD packet contains Ishaan Avasthi’s two paintings, his flipbook, and Taare Zameen Par pencil.
