MUMBAI: Television producers Tony and Deeya Singh, who have delivered shows like Banegi Apni Baat, Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi and the recent Left Right Left, are now venturing in Bollywood as film producers under their banner DJ’s – A Creative Unit.
The duo has signed a three film deal with a corporate company.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Tony Singh says, “I think it’s the need of the current times to keep evolving and trying out new formats. After making content for television for years, I feel the right time has come to expand into filmmaking as well. At the moment we have signed a three film deal with a leading corporate house. We will come out with an official announcement very soon.”
In the ever changing market dynamics, the content makers have been increasingly finding options to stay relevant all the times. The trend of television producers like Ekta Kapoor, Anuj Saxena and now Tony-Deeya, juggling across formats seems to be the new mantra for them to stay valid.
