TV18 launches film ticket booking website

MUMBAI: TV18 Group’s Internet arm Web18, which acquired ticketing, information and analysis solutions provider Big Tree Entertainment earlier this year, has now launched Bookmyshow.com.

As an introductory offer, the new website will offer a 25 per cent discount on all tickets of Yash Raj Films’ next release Chak De! India starring Shah Rukh Khan.

The website has partnered with PVR, Adlabs, Fun Cinemas, Inox, DT Cinemas, Prasadz, Wave, M2K Cinemas, 24Karat, SRS cinemas, Chanakaya, Velocity, JAM Multiplex and Movietime among others.

Bookmyshow aims to be the destination site for all entertainment tickets, which would include movies, plays, concerts, etc and has web ticketing facilities in 27 cities namely Agra, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Latur, Lucknow, Mangalore, Meerut, Mumbai, Noida, Nagpur, Nashik, Panipat, Pune, Surat and Vadodara. The website has call centre facilities in 11 cities – Mumbai, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Chandigardh, Lucknow, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Bangalore.

Bookmyshow.com offers online real time booking and seat selections across venues. Visitors can print their tickets at home and details of the booking can be received on their mobile phone. The website does not require the users to register to buy tickets.

An alternative way to book tickets with Bookmyshow is via its call centres with a single number 39895050, without any premium call charges. The number is a local dial in for every city Bookmyshow is present in.
