UTV Motion Pictures changes name to UMP

MUMBAI: AIM listed UTV Motion Pictures Plc has changed its name to UMP Plc and, with effect from 4 February, will will trade on AIM under the ticker UMP.

The company’s wholly-owned subsidiary incorporated in Mauritius will continue operating under its current name of UTV Motion Pictures (Mauritius) Limited.

The change of name is pursuant to an agreement entered into by the company with UTV plc (a wholly owned subsidiary of UTV Media plc) in relation to the use of the name ‘UTV’ in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
