Mumbai: David Dhawan directed Hook Ya Crook, which is being produced by UTV Motion Pictures, will go on floors on 7 January.
The movie is written by Rensil D’Silva (Rang De Basanti) and stars John Abraham. This is the first time that Dhawan and Abraham will be teaming up for a movie.
UTV Motion Pictures COO production Alpana Mishra said, "We are all gearing up to hit the floor by 10 Jan. Our first schedule is in Mumbai, followed by Hyderabad where we have just started constructing a mammoth set! It’s a film that will keep the audience hooked from word go. A lot of effort has gone in to casting the film and we now have a fantastic cast which bring alive the characters penned by Rensil."
Dhawan added, "I am very excited about making this film. It is a very unique film and a very challenging one at that. The team on the film has worked very hard all through the year to make it happen and we now go on the floors In Jan’09. It will be a great way for me to start the New Year!"
