Varun Dhawan Speaks Up On Replacing Ranveer Singh In Zoya Akhtar’s Next!

It was reported that Ranveer Singh opted out of Zoya Akhtar’s next and she has approached Varun Dhawan instead and he will be starring in it.

When asked about this development, Varun simply said that, “No, there is no truth to that.”

Varun is a busy man these days. The 29-years-old actor will be seen next in his upcoming film titled Badrinath Ki Dulhania opposite Alia Bhatt. Speaking about it, he said, “The film will release during the festival of Holi in March next year. It’s a special film and I am passionate about it. There is a special message also in the film so it’s important.”

Besides that he is going to be seen in Judwaa 2 which is directed by his father, David Dhawan. He said that the film is a big responsibility and that he is looking forward to work with Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez.

The Badlapur actor said, “I always wanted to work with Taapsee. She has done great work like in ‘Pink’. I have worked with Jacqueline Fernandez before and it’s fun to work with her again. I think ‘Judwaa 2’ is a big responsibility.”

Varun is also high on winning the first award for this season in the category of Best Actor Comic Award for Dishoom at the Star Screen Awards last evening. For that he said, “It’s special as my family has been associated with comedy. It’s more special as it’s directed by my brother Rohit (Dhawan). This is the first award show of the season and it feels great.”
