Mumbai: Venus Records and Tapes director Ratan Jain has been elected as the president of the Association of Motion Picture & TV Programme Producers (AMPTPP). The elections were held last week in Mumbai.
Additionally, the following other office bearers were elected at the second Governing Council Meeting: Ramesh Taurani and Mukesh Bhatt as vice president; Vashu Bhagnani and Manish Goswami as treasurers; Gordhan Tanwani and Ashutosh Gowarikar as general secretary.
Apart from these, at the Annual General Meeting, the following members were declared elected: Ratan Jain, Ramesh Taurani, Tanwani, Vikas Mohan, Vashu Bhagnani, Manish Goswami, Mukesh Bhatt, Bharat Shah, Kamal Kumar Barjatya, Subhash Ghai, Karan Johar, N.D.Kothari, Sajid Nadiadwala, Harry Baweja, Satish Kulkarni, Afzal Khan, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Sanjay Gupta and Smriti Irani.
The following members were co-opted: Madhur Bhandarkar, Sunil Lulla, Anant Mahadevan, Dhilin Mehta and Shyam Bajaj.
