MUMBAI: ‘Vidya Balan’ who created waves with her role in ‘The Dirty picture’ is set to attend the Bollywood Festival in Melbourne, Australia from June 11 to 22, this year.
Victorian Premier, Ted Baillieu said to the media, "The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne will showcase the extraordinary depth and diversity of the Indian film industry. It will offer diverse screenings in a variety of Indian languages, host prominent Indian filmmakers and screen professionals."
Balan is to visit Melbourne on next Friday and Saturday to promote the festival. Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business, Louise Asher said that securing Balan as the ambassador for the inaugural festival further enhanced Victoria’s reputation as an international film hub.
