MUMBAI: The cast and crew of Bheja Fry 2 were taken aback with sudden tears rolling off lead protagonist Vinay Pathak’s face while shooting for the song Oh Rahi Rahi from the movie.
Always the jovial entertainer, to prepare for his singing debut Pathak would listen to some classics from singers like Mohammad Rafi, Mukeshji and Kishore Kumar but began reminiscing when the Raj Kapoor number Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai from the movie Mera Naam Joker began to play.
The actor explains that his sudden outburst was because of the uncanny similarity between the lyrics and his own life.
Says a source, “Vinay was in tears after listening to Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai on the sets of Bheja Fry 2 since he believes his life is on similar lines to the lyrics of the iconic song. He said that his life is no less than that of a joker who loves to entertain people to see them happy.”
Produced by Mukul Deora and directed by Sagar Ballary, Bheja Fry 2 is slated to release on 17 June, 2011.
