MUMBAI: Vivek Oberoi is back in the Bollywood spotlight. After months of hibernation, the actor is in business and is now seen hobnobbing with B- town folks attending B- town parties.
First it was his electrifying performance at the recently concluded Apsara Awards in Mumbai, where he took to the stage after a gap of almost two years. Then it was his attendance for Hrithik Roshan and Farhan Akhtar’s birthday bash. And with this the speculation is on the rise that the industry has once again embraced Vivek.
Vivek’s hibernation began after the Ash-Salman fiasco. His comments and handling of the situation did not help things. But now Oberoi has put everything in the backburner and is all set to start life anew.
His close friend however says, “Those who have been close to Vivek, have never actually let anything affect their relationship with him. One is Karan Johar, who has always stood by him. And that’s why Vivek did Kurbaan. And talking of Kurbaan, his co-stars in the film, Saif and Kareena have also maintained relationships with him, inspite of everything.”
And now Vivek is gearing up for his first release of the year, Prince, where he will be seen as a smart aleck crook. A hit is all that Vivek needs to careen forward into the fast lane…
