This week, the Designers were busy giving their best on the ramp and our beloved celebs were looking gorgeous donning their creations!
Birthday girl Kangana Ranaut hosted her Birthday do for her friends in the industry as she turned 26 last week. The theme for the party seemed to be black and white and all the who’s who of Bollywood had gathered wearing monochromatic dresses. Kangana herself wore a knee length dress with broad black and white stripes and tied her hair up. This birthday chick was looking very very chic!
The Ponds Femina Miss India contest 2013 took place this week and many a Bollywood celebs walked the red carpet in lovely outfits. Asin wore a deep purple “all party behind” dress to the evening. This dress was a long flowing gown which added on immense elegance to Asin’s self. Asin wore her hair to one side of her neck and topped her ensemble with earing with a matching purple stone.
Scintillating and seductive, Bipasha Basu walked as a showstopper for designer duo Shantanu & Nikhil. And stop the show she did…. ! With her eye popping cleavage revealing gown in all black, the bong beauty simply stole breaths away. Flared sleeves and wing tipped eyes completely the edgy look.
Very well dressed this week was another Bollywood actress who walked the ramp for Namrata Joshipura on the Grand Finale of the Lakme Fashion Week. Kareena Kapoor is back in the race with the showstopping pink ensemble. Long baggy pants with orange embroidery, an orange collared- tomato pink shirt along with a rosy pink sequined jacket; simply pretty!
“Yummy mummy” Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was seen at the launch of a jewelry store in Mumbai. The actress who seems to favor anarkalis a lot, changed her costume twice. The first time around Aishwarya wore an emerald green anarkali with delicate golden work and heavy gold bangles. Very elegant, indeed. In the second look, the ‘Guzaarish’ actress wore a canary yellow net anarkali with satin borders and silver embellishments – this one, we’re not a huge fan off!
‘Murder 3’ actress Aditi Rao Hydari walked the runway for Payal Singhal. In a scarlet lehenga choli embroidered with black and gold, Aditi looked gorgeous! The smoky eyes, dewy make-up, and beautiful earrings were ethereal.
The very busy actress Priyanka Chopra was spotted at the Mumbai airport, returning from the Telugu launch of ‘Zanjeer’ remake in Hyderabad. The legal controversies that occurred in South didn’t seem to have bothered the spunky actress too much. She wore comfortable “flight attire” – red pants, a grey vest and a black leather jacket. Her beige heels and night sunglasses(?!) finished off the look.
Donning a very unusual shimmery dress, we saw Shilpa Shetty on sets of ‘Nach Baliye’ launching their new ‘Shriman vs Shrimati’ concept. Shetty opted for a blue sequined number with a netted neck. A leather belt cinched her small waist and black and blue bracelets were the only accessories she wore. We’re not such a big fan of this look though, have seen Shilpa in way better!
