MUMBAI: Warner Bros. Pictures India will be theatrically distributing Chargesheet, which is directed by veteran actor and filmmaker Dev Anand.
Anand has also written and produced the film.
With Chargesheet, Dev Anand returns to the screen in the lead role as retired Police Chief Gambhir Singh. The movie also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Jackie Shroff, Divya Dutta, Riya Sen and Amar Singh in a special appearance.
Anand says, “At this stage of my career, I am very thrilled to have Warner Bros. on board to distribute the film in India. I have grown up watching Warner films and have almost learnt filmmaking from their Hollywood films. It is a great moment for Navketan Films – one of the country’s oldest active film studios to collaborate with Warner Bros., an exemplar of the Hollywood studio system.”
Warner Bros. deputy managing director (theatrical) India Denzil Dias added, “It’s a great pleasure to be associated with Mr. Dev Anand – the legend. It is an honor working with him on Chargesheet.”
Chargesheet is slated to release in cinemas on 30 September.
