Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan’s movie ‘Dilwale’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Kriti Sanon released on December 18, 2015. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the highly anticipated movie opened up with great response from the audience. The film was much in limelight for its impressive star cast and top notch in its promotional activities too. Varun Dhawan attended the Sansui Colors Stardust Awards on December 21, 2015. The actor was very happy as he won the Sansui Entertainer of the year. During the press interviews, Varun was put on spot about the negative reviews for ‘Dilwale’. The critics’ have been very vocal about their dislike for the movie since its release. Varun Dhawan, in a very gracious way, said “I think Dilwale’s genre is called critics proof. It is a very popular genre. It’s a democratic country. Some people liked the movie and some did not. There is a saying in Bollywood industry- Monday test. If people watch film on Monday that means film is working. We had a good Monday. People are going. Overseas the movie has done way better business. That’s a different thing. As an artist, eventually, I am happy that people are coming up to me and congratulating for the movie. So, I am very happy”.
