The 90s superstar of Bollywood, Manisha Koirala has been missing from the screens for a long time now. She has given the industry some of the awesome performances in films like Saudagar, 1942: A Love Story, Dil Se, Bombay, Khamoshi, Agni Sakshi and Gupt.
And now the actress has made her comeback with Sunaina Bhatnagar’s Dear Maya.
When the teaser of her recently released film was out, everyone was surprised to see the actress’s almost unrecognizable avatar. Her role looked convincing and the teaser had left us all wondering about the storyline.
The film had hit the theatres last week, on June 2. It was yesterday when the makers of the film held a special screening for some B-town celebs. One such celeb to attend the screening was the Bollywood’s evergreen beauty Rekha.
The veteran actress was so overwhelmed with the film and Manisha’s performance, that she couldn’t help herself kissing and hugging Manisha with affection. Rekha’s reactions clearly showed how much she liked the film!
Dear Maya’s story revolves around an old woman who receives some love letters from a stranger, after which she starts re-living her life.
Although Manisha doesn’t have a number of films in her kitty now. But knowing that the actress was diagnosed with cancer and therefore had to take a break from the Bollywood industry, it seems fair. But we must say that she has made an awesome comeback with Dear Maya.
