MUMBAI: It was women power all the away at the media and entertainment conclave FICCI Frames 2013. Spotted at the event were Bollywood actress Kajol and female filmmakers Zoya Akhtar, Mira Nair, Gurinder Chadha.

For a discussion on 100 years of Indian Cinema, the eclectic panel at FICCI Frames comprised of avant garde directors like Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar and Dibakar Banerjee, where the quartet discussed and analysed the trends and changing patterns of hindi cinema.

Of course, they naturally touched upon their collaboration ‘Bombay Talkies’, to commemorate the centenary of Indian cinema.

Spotted bonding outside the FICCI Frames conference rooms were Zoya, Gurinder and Mira. Zoya’s best work ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ was under discussion, when these three ladies caught up and had a chat. They also touched upon Gurinder’s famous super hit ‘Bend it Like Beckham’, and Nair’s ‘Monsoon Wedding’, which will debut as a broadway show in April 2014.

Dressed in a fashion forward loose grey skirt and black shirt, Zoya was the epitome of relaxed chic, her preferred style; at the FICCI Frames. Mira Nair chose an eclectic ensemble of a green printed kurta with ankle length cropped pants, while Gurinder Chadha was seen in a white cotton kurti and jeans.

Kajol was seen in a light peach summer dress, and was spotted at a Q&A session with filmmaker Karan Johar.
