MUMBAI: The stars of Bollywood descended upon Mumbai airport as they returned from the 14th edition of the IIFA Awards held over the weekend at Macau. Among the stars seen at the airport, there were Shah Rukh Khan, Parineeti Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Anurag Basu, Prabhu Deva, Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Abhishek Bachchan.
The group of stars seemed a happy but tired lot after the excruciating IIFA weekend. Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor hosted the show, while Prabhu Deva, Abhishek Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit-Nene were among the performers for the night.
But that did not stop the actors from putting up a merry front for their fans at the airport. They smiled at the shutterbugs and in a moment for the history books, Shah Rukh Khan posed for a photograph along with Abhishek Bachchan, Shahid Kapoor, Vidya Balan and her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur, and Pritam Chakraborty.
Anurag Basu, the director of ‘Barfi!’ seemed a very happy person, and why shouldn’t he be, as his film swept all the major awards at IIFA. Also spotted were Anupam Kher, Ayushmann Khurrana, Saurabh Shukla, Sonu Sood, Sajid Nadiadwala, Sophie Chaudry and lyricist Javed Akhtar.
Fans of Bollywood love it when all the stars come together as one big happy family, and the IIFA Awards gave them an opportunity for just that. Glad to see smiles and love all around.
