MUMBAI: When the biggest star of Bollywood throws an Eid party, everyone makes sure to turn up for it.
Shah Rukh Khan threw an Eid party at his Bandra residence Mannat, leading to the roads outside getting clogged by fans, shutterbugs and celebrities arriving in their cars.
The biggies from Bollywood made their presence known. Amitabh Bachchan arrived with his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan. Hrithik Roshan who is on a shoot break was seen at the party too. Dilip Kumar, who is rarely seen, came for the party with his wife Saira Banu. Also seen were friends Karan Johar and Manish Malhotra.
Many older actresses such as Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Sushmita Sen and Karisma Kapoor, and newer ones like Alia Bhatt and Kangna Ranaut were seen. Directors such as Gauri Shinde, Vishal Bhardwaj, Sudhir Mishra, Ashutosh Gowariker and, most surprisingly, Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Have they finally sorted out their differences?) were seen arriving in their cars. Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Chennai Express’ director Rohit Shetty too came driving his own car.
Outside of Bollywood, ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was seen. Businessman, and fellow IPL team owners, Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, arrived with their family.
All in all, it was one big evening at Mannat for everyone involved. How the fans waiting outside Mannat would have loved to be a part of this do!
