Bollywood, a very tight-knit, family-run sort of business, is filled with quite a few filmy families. Here’s a look at the best brother-sister jodis of B’town.

Off-screen, Bollywood’s brothers are chivalrous, upright, protective and caring towards their sisters. At several industry functions, one gets to witness the camaraderie and love our heroes share with their sisters. Just like their morally correct on-screen avatars, Bollywood’s leading men are quite the perfect brothers, off-screen as well.

Think of brother-sister pairs in Bollywood, and Salman Khan immediately comes to mind. The superstar is the perfect bodyguard brother, who protects his baby sisters Alvira Agnihotri and Arpita Khan endlessly. He is just a phone call away for his two lovely sisters, and he is known to drop everything and run to their aid when they need him.

Similarly, the Nawab of Pataudi aka Saif Ali Khan is also known to share quite a close bond with his two sisters- Soha and Saba Ali Khan. Hit filmmaker pair of Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar, born to lyricist Javed Akhtar are probably the most physically alike siblings, they almost look like twins!

Abhishek Bachchan is known to look up to his elder sister Shweta Nanda immensely. Though the latter is rarely seen in the limelight, Abhishek’s eyes light up whenever his didi is in the same frame with him.

Youngistan’s newest superstar Ranbir Kapoor is another Bollywood brother, who dotes on his sister Riddhima Sahni. Off late, he’s also been bonding big-time with his cousin sisters Kareena and Karisma Kapoor, and the trio are often spotted hanging out together.

Sonam and Rhea Kapoor are known to fawn lovingly over their younger brother Harshvardhan, who will be making his big-screen debut soon.

As far as on-screen brother-sisters are concerned, our vote for best, most loving and most enetertaining brother-sister in recent times goes to the man of the moment- Shah Rukh Khan, and his on-screen pairing with Aishwarya Rai as bhai-behen in ‘Josh’. Notable mentions to Hrithik Roshan and Karisma Kapoor who portrayed the solid bond on-screen in ‘Fiza’, while Arjun Rampal and Deepika Padukone would probably be the most good-looking brother-sister duo in ‘Housefull’.

And how can we forget Farhan Akhtar’son-screen brotherly act for Divya Dutta, in the uber successful ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’.
