MUMBAI: What’s common between Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan and Tabu? Answer: Once ‘The Fast & The Furious 7’ releases, Deepika Padukone will join the list of actresses who have worked in Hollywood films.
Buzz in Bollywood is that the actress, who has had a fantastic year so far with ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Chennai Express’ might have bagged a small but pivotal role in car extravaganza ‘The Fast And The Furious’ series.
Many actresses like Deepika Padukone, Chitrangada Singh, Isabel Kaif (Katrina Kaif’s sister) and Kangna Ranaut had sent their audition tapes for the role, but turns out that Deepika Padukone has won over the rest.
Keeping with Hollywood’s standards, the deal might take six months to complete before announcements are made, but at the same time neither Deepika Padukone nor her spokespersons are allowed to say anything.
Deepika Padukone has ‘Ram Leela’ coming up in November while she is currently shooting for Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ with Shah Rukh Khan.
‘The Fast & The Furious 7’ will bring back the old crew from ‘The Fast & The Furious 6’ including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and will add Jason Statham as the lead villain this time around.
