MUMBAI: It is quite unlikely that Kareena Kapoor doesn’t prefer eating meat. The fact that she comes from the khaata –peeta Kapoor khandaan and is a staunch vegetarian is quite contrary to her image.

The actor reveals secrets to her being so fit, her experience from turning into size-zero and back to being bebolicious.

She says that she prefers eating simple home-cooked Indian food comprising roti, dal, chawal, sabzi and ghee.

Kareena Kapoor, at a DVD launch for health freaks also said she isn’t aware where the size-zero term came from. She just had been instructed to go thin for ‘Tashan’.

The actress, who plays a journalist in ‘Satyagraha’ also, reveals that hubby Saif Ali Khan prefers eating meat, but occasionally. In such a case she substitutes meat with paneer or pulses.

Looking at the promos of ‘Satyagraha’ it can be well said that Kareena Kapoor certainly looks fit and in shape. She gives the example of late actress Madhubala and her 84-year old grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor.

She says even the older actresses still look glamorous and beautiful only because they ate simple and healthy food.
