[tps_footer]India’s first Superstar Rajesh Khanna‘s last action drama film Riyasat is all set to release by Jai Viratra Entertainment Limited on July 18, 2014.
Always adored in a romantic avatar, Kakaji will now be seen in the role of a Don for the first and last time.
Riyasat is about a powerful Don ‘Sahab’ played by the late Rajesh Khanna, who is worshipped by the people. Sahab has ruled for many years and has established his kingdom. People look up to him for everything. He has truly been the Godfather for the people of city. But then, few people enter the city with malicious intent which Sahab is aware of.
Obviously, Sahab protects his kingdom from evil eyes and thus starts a war which changes Saheb’s life forever. Will Sahab protect his kingdom? Will Sahab win over the evils and emerge as a winner?
Unfortunately, Kakaji passed away while shooting for the film. Producers Vijay Sirohi and Diwaker Singhal shared, “The biggest tribute to Kakaji would be ensuring that Riyasat reaches to every fan of his. Kakaji’s character Sahab is inspired by The Godfather. But we’ll see Sahab in a true Rajesh Khanna style.”
Riyasat features Rajesh Khanna as Saheb, Aryan Vaid as Shakti, Aryeman Ramsay as Vijay, Vishwajeet Pradhan as Advocate Sandeep Marva and Raza Murad as Minister. This film is directed by Ashok Tyagi.
As per distributor Manoj Nandwana, Riyasat will release on the occasion of Kakaji’s second death anniversary.[/tps_footer]
