When asked if she would change her maiden name or add Chopra to her existing name, Rani Mukerji immediately replied, “I love my name – Rani Mukerji and I will stick to that. My name has not changed, so you all can call me Rani. I would like to be addressed as Rani only. I love my name so I will stick to that. For my films, people know me as Rani and they will always know me as Rani Mukerji. When I admit my children in school, I guess I will change my surname. But for my fans, it will always remain Rani Mukerji”
She even said that she would continue to work provided she finds the script challenging. “We actors are like beggars. We never choose, but are chosen by creative people, including directors and producers. I will take up the subjects that are interesting and powerful, which is women centric I will do it. I hope there will be better roles,” informed Rani Mukerji with her signature smile.
