MUMBAI: Recently, fans of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan alike were left awestruck when Salman Khan hugged Shah Rukh Khan at Baba Siddiqui’s iftar party. (Read story here)
Looks like their enmity has really turned to friendship if we go by Salman Khan’s reactions at the launch of ‘Bigg Boss’ Season 7.
Salman Khan gave an open invitation to Shah Rukh Khan to come onto his show if he wants to promote his next movie. “If he’s promoting his next film, he’s more than welcome,” Salman Khan said.
Salman Khan also explained that he hugged Shah Rukh Khan because it was the “holy month of Ramadan” and that it is good to hug or shake hands with people as you pass them. “Agar main nahi karta, then what is the use?” Salman Khan said. “It’s not being human.”
Salman Khan also said that their enmity now lies in the professional field alone. He said, “Agar maarna hi hai kisiko, toh ek doosre ko kaam se marenge, jaise woh abhi maarke chala gaya apne kaam se.” (If we have to hit each other, we’ll do it with our work, just like he just hit everyone with ‘Chennai Express’.)
Salman Khan also said that the competition won’t be only between Shah Rukh Khan and himself. He also talked about Aamir Khan’s ‘Dhoom 3’ and the naya ladka (new kid on the block) Ranbir Kapoor.
Salman Khan’s next film, directed by Sohail Khan, and titled either ‘Mental’, ‘Jai Ho’ or ‘Azaad’ will release on 24 January, 2014.
